A new paper has been published as part of the HyperBOOST project in the journal Frontiers in Remote Sensing entitled "Spatial structure of in situ reflectance in coastal and inland waters: implications for satellite validation".

Hosting students for a week of work experience

One of the project activities for HyperBOOST is to engage local high schools and host a week of work experience for year 12 students (age 16). This was predominantly focused on promoting Earth Observation on biological oceanography as a career choice and to give students first-hand experience in a laboratory setting.

The HyperBOOST project kicks-off!

In late June the HyperBOOST (Hyperspectral Bio-Optical Observations sailing on Tara) team held the initial 'kick-off' meeting for the project.

The two-year project utilisizes the EMBL Trec expedition to provide a means to gather a variety of in situ data for the validation of satellite data.
